Shorebirds on the move

Less than two weeks left until the kick off of the second Global Shorebird Counting Program of the World Shorebirds Day, but shorebirds are already on the way to their southern wintering grounds. Whether you are a bird steward, a ranger, a student, a twitcher, a bird tour guide or just simply love shorebirds/waders, we encourage you to be a part of this global event on the shorebird counting weekend. All you have to do is to enjoy watching the local shorebird community (on your local patch or any site where you are) between 4–6 September 2015, count them, record your data to eBird and share your checklists with us (more technical instructions to come). That simple! As only one and and a half weeks left you might already know where you will be on the weekend. Add your location the global map.
